The Ocotillo is one of the deserts strangest flowers, with tall skinny limbs that are six to twelve feet high and covered with very sharp needles. The flowers are on the end of the limbs and usually bloom after a rain storm or when watered by hand. Post # 15 on
ABC Wednesday.
Wow, they look amazing! Great O!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very strange plant, but very colourful! Reminds me a bit of a euphorbia, with the prickles and the flowers right at the end. Probably needs the same growing conditions.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)
