J is for Joshua Tree

These Joshua trees are amazing, they can grow out of the cracks in the rocks. This one is in the Jumbo Rocks campground.  I could not make up my mind which picture to use, so I posted all three.
I did not think I could get a good sunset picture this close to the lights of Los Angeles, but I like this one.
These pictures were all taken at Joshua Tree National Park in California.  The park is located in the desert between Twenty Nine Palms and Indio in southern California.  this post # 9 on ABC Wednesday.

  1. Beautiful photos of the Joshua trees. Your sunset colors are lovely.

  2. I'm impressed with the lovely muted colors of these photos. Being a Californian (Northern) I was aware of Joshua trees, although I have never been to the park, and their ability to grow through cracks in the rocks surprised me.

  3. Oh, and aren't all three glorious! Love the sunset, and the next one, and the prior one. Beautiful...

  4. Those are all incredibly good pictures. I loved the first, then thought the second was best ... but then saw the third. I see why you couldn't choose!

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday!

  5. I did a j tree too!
I've always wanted to see a Joshua tree in real life. Beautiful pictures.

  6. The colors are supurb and I don't blame you for not being able to choose. Great compositions.
